Welcome, everyone. My name is Seher Samnani, product marketing manager here at Coveo. And today, I'm joined by Victoria, our expert and product manager for all things website in our final series of new in Coveo, kicking it off with website. Hey, Victoria. Hi. Really excited to show what's the start today to our audience. Alright. So, just a quick high level agenda before we start. We'll start with an introduction, talk about the spring release features that we've come out with specifically for website, then go into our newest announcement for Coveo generated answering, and then open it up to q and a. During the session, if you have any chat comments or q and a questions, I mean, you can add it in the q and a section, and we'll address it at the end. For our existing customers or if you're new or you're just starting to learn about our platform, I wanted to do a quick reminder. The Coveo Relevance Cloud platform is the backbone of this digital experience platform, provider. We as Coveo, we have the websites, the commerce line of business, the service, and workplace use cases. We think of it as a three sixty experience versus a siloed use case experience. Over the past two weeks, you might have joined other sessions like the commerce session, the service section, the workplace. And today, we'll be talking about websites. Websites for you can mean so many different things. When we think about websites, we think about site search and experiences in two different folds, the form and the function. When we think about the form, right, think about it like the very first introduction, maybe to your anonymous visitors, to maybe your customers who have just logged in to their member portal, or to your agents. The look and feel, the design, the graphics are quite important. And when we think about providing resources, we automatically think of assigning a lot more resources to the look and feel because the first impressions do matter. As you can see, fifty percent of consumers believe that website design is crucial for an overall business brand. But the minute the first experience goes away and a customer or a visitor or an agent is trying to find information, trying to find content for them to be able to understand what you're offering, maybe use your product better, or even, do their day to day functions. One of the things that's very important is how they can find the information, the relevant content. And forty three percent of site visitors use the search box immediately, and this is what something Forrester has done in their research in twenty twenty two. And they have also said that the minute they are able to find information, they are more likely to convert two to three times more likely. And in the end, don't we want our visitors to be able to convert our customers to be able to log in and use our products better? And when it comes down to Coveo's website use case and the offerings and the features that we have, this is where we put all our eggs in that basket. In our spring release, as you can see if you've attended other sessions as well, next slide, please. As you can see, if you've attended other sessions, we had released a bunch of different features from different use cases. Today, our focus and the lens that we'll be taking is the features that will help you provide that experience, that design, that relevant content to your customers and visitors. The ones that are highlighted with the little diamond are the ones that Victoria will be going through today. Victoria, the floor is yours. Yes. I'm really excited to tell everybody about the new features and connectivity, UI, ML, and infrastructure with a special mention of the upcoming generative AI capabilities at the end of presentation, so do stay tuned. The first project that is very near and dear is the improvement to the website connector. WebSource is our most popular connector. It boasts over, three thousand, four thousand sources right now, is currently being used by over a hundred fifty customers. And the beauty of the web connector is that it is agnostic of the content management system that you're using or rather your authors use. So it doesn't matter which web, platform is being used. We are able to display any type of content. Whether it's public or authenticated, it will be available as part of search results, as part of the recommendations, or even smart snippets. With such popularity, it was only natural that to even boost the adoption of the connector and to make sure that its power is landed in more hands, we made the connector even more accessible. On the left side, you can see the old design, which used to group all of the different capabilities altogether in one screen, whereas on the right is the beginning of the flow of the new connector. It's much more simple. It simplifies the configuration process. The new UI also makes the build process intuitive. It unifies the deployment decisions all in one place with a very elegant and intuitive, user interface, all while still keeping the powerhouse and the feature richness of the connector on the left. So, again, the new, web source will be available in q two twenty twenty three, so stay tuned. And it will be also applied to all of the existing, web sources if you already have one configured. The next feature I'm excited to tell you about is the enhanced metadata management. Before the release of the enhanced metadata extraction and discovery, the task of organizing metadata was very manual. It was one by one process, and it required analyzing content through content browser one by one. Now to standardize your metadata, you're able to do metadata mapping for your blog posts, for your knowledge articles, as well as for videos and images, which will boost, first of all, searches at relevance, but also the discoverability of the content where, let's say, on the actual page of the content, not much of the meaning is being described. Again, videos, images, and more. So impacts findability. You're able to create search experience faster. The configuration process is going to be faster. You're able to boost the result relevance, increase the number of facets that is being displayed. The search result previews on your search page, the quick view, will be even more enhanced with different hashtag and metadata tags, which we will be able to expose. The feature was available in GA since December twenty twenty two, but we have just released a newer version, which you're able to use as starting right now. The next feature I'm excited to tell you about is the data health panel. It enables any implementation team or existing customer to browse events, such event as click event, view event, search event. It is a reporting feature which has been highly anticipated by implementation teams because now they're able to track where exactly, data is being missed. And in the end, downstream, it impacts metrics like click through rate, click rank, as well as this specific data also feeds AI animal models. This data health panel is currently available to all of the Covia platform users. So, again, be one step ahead and ensure that your data tracking and quality are in check with the data health panel. Now let's move on to the search and discovery or how we're able to display search results. One of the features that's been released is the COVID builder and is truly a backbone of all of the different builders that you can encounter on the administration console and on Coveo platform. Whether you're using atomic search page builder or maybe a hosted inside panel, which is specific for service use case, and tune in to the service new in Coveo if you would like to see more about the hosted inside panel, or maybe you're configuring in product experience for your website. You're able to use CoveoBuilder. CoveoBuilder is a graphic user interface, which simplifies the creation of your search page experience in just a few steps. It's amazing to self serve for anybody who is not technical. It's, very useful for proof of concept and demos, but it also enables developers to create a basic search page before downloading it locally and making, customizations essential for the business use case you're working on. It accelerates the implementation time drastically Before to create a custom, search page with a library, it might take anywhere between three to five weeks to go through the whole software release life cycle, which you might have. So you would have to go to designers to iterate on designs. You would have to wait for QA. But now with just a few clicks, it is possible to make changes through the Coveo builder and have them displayed in your interface and live on your digital property with just a couple of days. So, again, it also opens an avenue for Coveo product owners to make way to changes without going to back end developers, and it also relieves the demand on your IT resources. So it's available on the platform today through a few avenues. One is the simple search page builder, available in the search page tab, but also through IPX, which I am excited to talk about. We've just released a next gen, in product experience. And if you're not familiar with in product experience, in short, it's abbreviated as APX, and it is a very powerful way for your user to interact with Coveo. It's a small window, as you can see, located within your application. It is context aware. It is a specific interface which drives self-service within your own software. It is accessible, easy to reach, and is going to be the first place that your user will reach out to before even going and typing questions on Google. IPX is easy to deploy with as little as just one line of code, and it is going to be available in GA. The next gen version of IPX will be available in GA in q two twenty twenty three. So really excited about it. Next feature I'm, excited to present is the relevance inspector. Before the release of relevance inspector, troubleshooting a search query was a very complex process. When receiving a search query result, our users would be looking at it asking why a specific search result has been displayed to them. The relevance inspector provides an insight and explanation on why a specific query is there without the need to access developer tools like payloads or navigating to the network tab. So, again, much simpler, much more intuitive. You will be able to find out the ranking information of each search result. It's also available metadata, its fields, and also have an execution report for the performed query. The capabilities of the new relevance inspector are now extended to support the atomic library, the Coveo's powerful search UI library, which was released a few years ago. And speaking of atomic, atomic is now compliant according to accessibility standard. Coveo has an ongoing investment in accessibility in general, and Atomic Library has received the certification for compliance. The VPAT certification only confirms that we take accessibility seriously, and we're open to make improvements to our front end libraries, which power your search experiences. So, again, making it more accessible. Now onto the machine learning model. The loved and beloved smart snippet model, which is also known as question answering, has seen a vast improvement underneath. So if you're currently using smart snippets, you don't need to do any extra effort. You'll already be using the new and improved enhanced smart snippets. The goal of the improvement was to improve our question answering capability for self-service, but, also, we're aiming to leverage best of breed semantic approach to back it with scientific evidence. The underlying mechanism of the model has been replaced by a new large language model called Mini LM, and it's fine tuned by Coveo's r and d team for self-service user context. So, again, not every search will result in a click. Sometimes the search will be successful just by searching and seeing the the snippet of an answer right in front of you. It will be available at April twenty twenty three. And, again, if you already have, this machine learning model configured, no additional effort is required from your side. Now onto the platform and infrastructure improvements. One of the releases has been, an active active infrastructure for our US customers. You may or may not remember, but over a year ago, there was a great AWS outage, which impacted big brands out there, including Koveo. The US active active infrastructure makes sure that we're delivering out on our commitment of ninety nine point nine uptime promise and provides a copy of customer data in two regions, east and west. This infrastructure improvement hits two birds with one stone. On one side, it increases the speed of results. Your queries are answered from region with the lowest latency. Second, the new infrastructure also provides support from a potential failover. Again, goes to the uptime guarantee. So, again, we're making sure that, we're releasing it in the next quarter. And, if you're interested, you're always welcome to join the beta testing call. Another improvement in the infrastructure realm is the Canadian data residency. This infrastructure improvement allows data residency compliance. So if, let's say, you're mandated by law, if you have to fit regulations for your customers, if it's just simply a best practice for you that you're anticipating, or if you want proactively use a Canadian AWS region, it is now available for Canadian based KobiO customers. Alright. Now that we're, gone through the releases, an exciting announcement about the generative AI capabilities. When seeing the rise in general interest in generative AI and in large language models, I couldn't be more thrilled for Coveo customers. For years, Coveo has developed an end to end platform, truly an ecosystem, which is perfectly suited to use your content to train a machine learning model, which will leverage the content extracted from your documents to provide answers to your users. So while working on the smart snippet improvements on the underlying infrastructure, Coveo is also looking ahead to evolve our question answering capabilities and investing in relevance generative answering. Relevance generative answering provides a search page which streams answers from several documents from several formats. And, again, those are the documents of the knowledge that come from your accumulated knowledge from your organization and delivered to your customers. The next phase of generative answering will begin in the summer and, will target customers interested in leveraging generative AI for self-service specifically. So do sign up. It is going to be in beta phase, during summertime. The search is not going away, and the users will continue using it. But, also, we want to provide an ability to ask a question and to get a generative answer delivered. So if you weren't able to join the last, Relevance three sixty event, I do encourage you because our CTO, Laurent, was able to talk about this feature in-depth as well as talking about the business use case and other various use cases for for generative AI. So really excited, to to present this to our customers in the nearest future. I'm curious, yeah, if we have any questions. Yeah. We do have a few questions, Victoria. Really great rundown on how a website customer can use all of these features. I had one comment in our q and a and chat that someone was asking or I believe, yeah, someone was asking what is in GA and what's in beta. We will be sending a, pit later at the end of this session to your email, which will outline the ones that are in beta and ones that are in GA right now. So you'll be able to actually see it from there itself. Anything that has a little star or an asterisk in the start of the presentation, those were beta features. Alright. So, then the other question that we had, Victoria, is active active an additional charge, or is it included for all customers? Yeah. It is included for all customers. Again, it is for Coveo to continue delivering on the promise of the uptime of ninety nine point nine. If you want to join it earlier, you can join it through beta. Again, no additional charge. And then sometime in the future, in the background, it will be rolled out for all of the Kuvio customers. So nothing to worry about. And, just to specify, it is specifically for US based customers. So, if, Daniel, you and your team are based out of US and you wanna test it out, please reach out to your CSM, and we'll be able to get you onto the beta program. So the other question, I think we have another one for beta. So the beta is for self-service customers. Will the event, so I guess this is about the generative answering. Yeah. Will this eventually be rolled out to all customers as well? Yeah. So generative AI is not just exclusive for self-service customers. Here, the the framework of thinking is if I'm a website customer, but I have a self-service, a lot of self-service documents on my website. So the one of the main purposes of my website is to provide answers to existing customers to self-service and enable them an information. This is also included in the self-service use case. So when we're talking about self-service, we can both think about it in service product context, but we can also look at it from website lens for website customers. When talking about generative, AI capabilities, right now, our focus is to deliver on self-service business objective. Whether or not it will be available to just service or website customers is yet to be determined, but, eventually, in the future, it will it will be one way or the other available to all of the Choreo platform users. So, here, I want to make sure that there is a distinction between the business objective that the generative AI is fulfilling versus what it will be available, in the future. And we'll be opening it up for more use cases and stuff. Just the first one is self-service as well. So, alright. The other question that, we got in the chat was, for the enhanced dashboards metadata dashboards, if they have a push API source, would they be able to view all of the information from metadata from that as well? Yep. So as far as I understand, this is referring to the enhanced metadata management and metadata mapping tool. Yes. Especially with push source and push API, which is a source that pushes content from any source that you need. Yes. It will be perfect to use with the enhanced metadata mapping, feature. And then our very last question is, will generative AI beta and I think you kinda answered this, can be launched into a stage environment into instead of the production environment? Yep. Just following any natural release cycle within Coveo product, it will be available perhaps most likely in the sandboxes in stage environments before rolled out to production. And I'm pretty sure depends on how the UI will look like in the future. It will also require some additional steps. So when generative AI will be released, I'm sure you will be the first one to know and try out this feature without disrupting any of your existing stage or production environments. So, yeah, I'm sure there will be a way to try it out in stage before deploying it in prod. Amazing. And, the last question was around Adobe Experience Manager. They want to understand how the web connector would help the Adobe Experience Cloud or a Sitecore cloud, I guess. Any cloud? Yep. I really like web connector specifically for it being content management system agnostic. We currently already have a few customers who use AEM on premise, managed cloud and cloud services, which leverage sitemap source and web source as well. So, again, as easy as configuring the source, you're able to index your AEM instance. There is it it suits it perfectly just like any other source. So, yeah. Perfect. I think those are all the questions that we had, Victoria. Thank you so much for joining us, giving the insights into the world do. Websites. And thank you everyone for joining us. This was our final new Incoveo session. Tomorrow or early on Friday, you'll be receiving an email, which will be a recording of this webinar as well as details around, all of our features and how you can get in touch with someone regarding it. Thank you again for joining. If you have any questions, happy to reach out. Thank you, Sahir.
