Our staff developers are key to the success of our projects
As a staff developer at Coveo, you will:
- Design and implement high quality scalable technology
- Deliver new features and contribute to the innovation of our SasS, Cloud based solution,
- Define standards and good practices for coding and other day to day operation
- Remove technical blockers
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to enable your peers to grow
- Continue to improve and grow your technical skills
In this role, you will join a Full Stack Empowered Product Team to help them define, design, develop and deliver systems that our customers rely on to drive their business. It focuses on Recommendations, Badging and Personalized Content, which are key features of the Coveo Commerce product.
You will be involved in a wide range of capacities: from working closely with our designers at all stages from user research to delivery, to working on in-browser code that runs on our unlocks our features on customer sites, to working on our high-availability backend systems that return content that has been made relevant and personalized by leveraging our big data pipeline and various ML based technologies. In all of these capacities, you will be making use of your experience as a Staff level developer to collaborate within and across teams.
What makes this opportunity exciting?
This is a fantastic opportunity if you want to play an important part in a team that we're building from scratch that will directly impact our core business. The role will provide an abundance of technical leadership opportunities from day 1, and has a potential transition towards team leadership should you wish to pursue that path.
Tech stack:
Our UIs are React-based and make use of GraphQL. The team works through a full stack consisting of Javascript/Typescript/Golang. We make heavy use of Kubernetes-based microservices within our systems. Large amounts of data, routed through our data pipeline, is stored in a data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery). Coveo Commerce currently has technology deployed across both AWS and GCP.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years experience in development within a Cloud and/or SaaS product environment
- Expertise with fullstack:
- Backend: expert at server-side compiled languages (ex: Java, C#, NodeJS, React)
- Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript
- Expertise in producing reusable, scalable, quality code within a complex context
- A data mindset, with good SQL skills
- Resourcefulness, agile thinking and growth mindset
Nice to have:
- Experience with Golang
- Experience interacting with data processing systems (warehousing, ETL, streaming etc)
- Knowledge of big data warehouses such as Snowflake/Google BigQuery
- Technical mentoring skills
