Being a Master of Insights

As a user experience design researcher, you are the master of Insights. You represent the voice of the user and you own our research repository and library. You facilitate discovery by teaming up with product designers, product managers, stakeholders and other humans to define problems to be solved and spot opportunities. You love communicating the insights by creating artifacts that enable strategic and tactical decision making.

As the design practice is expanding, this is the first UX Researcher position at Coveo. This is a unique opportunity to set the standards of the practice and help the company create and expand the knowledge base.

The art of making a complex tool accessible to all

Coveo is one of the most advanced in the field of search engines for companies and artificial intelligence tools on the market, and with this performance, we want to be able to make it accessible to all of our users. Coveo is the fastest growing Canadian company, a thriving tech and design community located in the heart of Quebec and Montreal.

A typical Thursday

  • Start your day by hanging out at the UX Coffee, on Zoom, with the team. What's new, what's old, what’s the new Miro feature?
  • You are updating the Developer Journey Map after the Empathy Map workshop last week and you are excited about the emerging insights.
  • Karen, UX designer, wants to share some ideas on how to improve our Research library so you're jumping on a slack call with her.
  • There is a Lunch & Learn today about Design Analytics. Yum!
  • Eric, PM for Coveo Analytics, needs help with the information architecture of the reports. Meeting with him to explore options between a Tree Testing or Card Sorting exercise.
  • Next, you participate in a moderated user test for an existing feature. The intern you are mentoring is moderating a test for the first time!
  • You wrap up your day with a quick debriefing with the intern after the user test. Digital High Fives!
