You know how to run a company’s presence at conferences like no one else? You’re the one we’re looking for!

As we grow our Marketing team, we are looking for a self-starter that can be both hands-on and strategic. You will report to the VP of Acquisition Marketing and collaborate with the extended marketing org to execute events and tradeshows to ultimately drive pipeline. Our awesome marketing team is always looking to innovate and get creative!

 As the Event & Tradeshow Manager, you’ll be responsible to build and execute the plans for our largest industry conferences and for our own Coveo events. You will be the quarterback for your programs, rallying and coordinating the marketing team,  sales, alliances and business development into making the most out of each event.

In a post-covid world, you will also travel as the on-site company lead to the events and trade shows you coordinate, and engage in meaningful conversations with prospective customers as you help to educate our market on Coveo.


Curious to know what a day in this role looks like? Here are some of the main responsibilities:

  • Event Management : We're talking about the plan for our presence at the event,  the logistics, promotional materials, invitation management, coordination of meetings with potential clients, follow-up strategy and much more.
  • Activity performance reports: You'll be expected to produce reports on the performance of our events and campaigns, and to do the analysis and follow-up with the rest of the team to figure out which investments are yielding the best results. 
  • Internal comms: Keep a close communication loop with the internal stakeholders of each event: marketing, sales, BD and leadership. Keep them informed on the plan, resources and blockers we have and get what you need from each part of the team to make your events successful. 
  • Budget tracking: You'll need to build your investment and ROI plan per event, track expenses,  negotiate contracts and ensure payment of invoices with accounting.
  • Research: You'll have to research the various events we should attend or sponsor, as well as other opportunities to consider, and make recommendations internally.
  • Internal collaboration and coordination: You will work with our Campaign Managers on the comms plans around the events, and with content specialists and designers to ensure that we deliver our projects and campaigns on time.


The Profile

The ideal candidate will have some experience in event and corporate marketing, but above all will stand out for their intelligence, business acumen, interest in technology and desire to learn. 

Here are some other ways to score points:

  • Event management is non-negotiable!
  • Experience in managing events in a B2B environment is a huge plus.
  • A degree in Marketing, Administration or Communications
  • Highly organized: you can multitask without dropping the ball and you always meet deadlines!
  • Data driven: you have a keen eye for detail and measuring success!
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Marketo (or other CRM and marketing automation systems)
  • You are resourceful and LOVE to take initiative
  • You like to innovate and have drive
  • You have a good stress resistance - let’s face it, events can be stressful!
