Build a flawless learning experience!

The challenge: build education materials that will allow Coveo’s clients to fully use the power of our solutions. Coveo is looking for an instructional designer with the skills to help our customers maximize adoption and achieve their business outcomes.

To do so, you will analyze knowledge gaps and develop e-learning and instructor-led training solutions targeted to clear outcomes. You’ll manage all aspects of the analysis, design, development, and evaluation of the training programs you develop, with the goal of ensuring our customers and partners have the information they need to be successful with Coveo's solutions.

There won’t be a typical day in this role, but here is what one might look like :

  • Start with an espresso or your favorite tea, we don’t judge! After a weekly meeting with your team, review and update your educational materials with the latest changes.
  • You spend the rest of the morning  developing and improving the training curriculum for one of our core solutions. It includes e-learning, but you’d like to add interactivity, some visuals, and a case study to add impact.
  • After lunch, you have time to manage the development of some new instructional materials for new software features, transforming technical information into professionally written, engaging instruction.
  • It’s your last meeting of the day! In collaboration with your colleagues, you determine the key training objectives and strategies for a new training program.

Challenge accepted?

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Design and develop effective and engaging educational solutions aligned with both customer needs and company goals.
  • Work with a team of fellow education professionals, as well as technical writers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to produce self-directed training, as well as video-based, classroom-based, and web-based training.
  • Identify knowledge gaps, proficiency barriers, and performance improvement opportunities for both customers and partners, and target educational program solutions.
  • Develop learning objectives that drive course design, with outcomes targeted to the needs of the audience.
  • Develop certification programs, and use badging, skill levels, and other techniques to drive learner engagement and recognize achievement.
  • Implement training validation processes and ensure programs achieve learning objectives and customer satisfaction targets.

Ideally, you will have:

  • B.A. or higher in instructional design, instructional technology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated competency with using learning tools and technologies, including video and audio recording and editing, managing content on an LMS, and executing webinars and classroom training. Tools may include: Camtasia, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Articulate 360, Storyline, or Adobe Captivate, as well as LMS systems.
  • Ability to apply adult learning principles and incorporate this into curriculum design and development
  • Exceptional communication skills, and the ability to drive projects forward while collaborating with SMEs from various functional areas.
  • Ability to own and execute the entire project lifecycle from planning, development, storyboarding, recording, editing, and deployment.
  • Proven expertise leading and delivering training and educational events.

Other things that will raise our eyebrows:

  • Experience with Coveo AI-powered Search, Salesforce, Sitecore, or MS Dynamics.
  • Understanding of ITIL, Agile methodologies, and DevOps, and familiarity with using JIRA.
  • Experience administering or implementing an LMS
  • Industry certifications in curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate (e.g. CPLP, CPT, PMP, etc.)
