The Challenge

You are on a mission to take business intelligence to a new level. Use the data assets and resources at your disposal (Tableau, Snowflake, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to tell the story behind our data. In this role, you will work closely with the internal departments at Coveo, including R&D, Professional Services and Customer Success to help our customers make important decisions and have better visibility on the decision impact.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will also be involved in the development and iterations of our features, working alongside the R&D team to find the best solutions for our business needs.

There are no “typical” days, but here’s an example of what a work day might look like:

  • You grab your favorite hot beverage in hand and you start your day at 8am.
  • You take a look at your list of priorities and decide what you need to tackle first.
  • Next you begin to generate key reports using data in Adobe Analytics, Snowflake, and Google Analytics. After analyzing the data you notice some anomalies and set up time with R&D to review your findings.
  • After some back and forth you are confident in your data set and begin to build out visualizations in Tableau. It seems like you discovered a clear trend and have solid recommendations to share.
  • You join a customer call, or work with the Customer Success Manager, to share key KPIs and help them better understand their performance
  • Beginning of the afternoon, you meet with your team lead for a discussion about the next exciting projects for 2021. You go over the successes of the past quarter to map out your plan to enable more customers with business intelligence analytics.
  • You collaborate with our Usage Analytics team from R&D on a project that will affect the use of performance metrics for both internal stakeholders and Coveo customers.
  • You finish your day in Tableau by making a new update to enhance our ecommerce dashboard to include a few new graphs. Your head full of ideas for the dashboard you are preparing and the value you are delivering to clients.
