Want to build backend systems that other developers rely on every day? As a Senior Backend Software Developer in the Platform Identity & Entitlements (PIE) team, you’ll work at the core of the Coveo Platform™, building and evolving the central services that enable our customers to create, manage, secure and govern their Coveo organization.

Your work will span backend development and cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on reliability, scalability and maintainability. As a Senior Backend Developers, you will:

  • Own services throughout their lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to deployment, monitoring and ongoing maintenance in production.
  • Build reliable and scalable systems while proactively identifying performance, availability and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with other development teams to design solutions that integrate effectively with the services and capabilities owned by your team.
  • Monitor the health, performance and availability of production systems, investigating issues and implementing sustainable improvements.
  • Contribute your backend expertise to technical discussions, code reviews and continuous improvements while sharing knowledge with other developers.

Here is what will qualify you for the role:

  • At least 5 years of software development experience, with strong experience developing backend systems in a cloud environment and solid Java knowledge.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining reusable services for large-scale systems with complex infrastructure or a significant user base.
  • Experience taking ownership of production services, including their reliability, performance, deployment and ongoing evolution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness and the ability to independently navigate complex technical challenges while collaborating effectively with others.

What will make you stand out:

  • Experience developing backend applications with Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure and orchestration technologies such as Terraform and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with continuous integration systems such as GitHub Actions or equivalent.
  • You bring a product-oriented mindset
