As a Business Intelligence Analyst on our Information Systems team, you will play a crucial role in helping our organization make data-driven decisions by providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, sales, and customer success, to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and drive strategic initiatives. Your expertise in data visualization, statistical analysis, and business acumen will be essential to guide our business strategy and enhance our competitive edge.

As our BI Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop actionable reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track and communicate business performance.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights, translating them into meaningful recommendations and action plans.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis and provide accurate forecasts, market trends, and customer behavior insights to drive business decision-making.
  • Identify areas of improvement, develop hypothesis-driven experiments, and measure the impact of implemented changes using statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Monitor key metrics and proactively identify deviations or anomalies, investigating root causes and providing recommendations to address them.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to optimize data collection, storage, and processing for efficient reporting and analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence, data analytics, and AI to drive continuous improvement in our data-driven strategies.

What we are looking for

Someone who loves to play with data and get creative with puzzles, in order to answer business questions with the best insights possible.

Here is what will qualify you for the role

  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably within the SaaS industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for continuous learning and staying at the forefront of technology advancements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation. Knowledge of dbt (Data Build Tool) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, with the ability to create compelling reports and dashboards.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and predictive analytics.

What would make you stand out

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
