Coveo is looking for a talented contract manager to play a pivotal role in our commercial legal team! The contract manager will be a foundational part of the commercial legal team, supporting various aspects of commercial transactions and being the company-wide lead for contract lifecycle management. We are seeking a skilled professional who can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 

As contract manager, you will report to the Senior Director, Corporate and Commercial Legal, and will work closely with a team of senior legal professionals. You will also collaborate closely with our other legal functions, including corporate legal and privacy and compliance, and will work with our sales and finance teams to facilitate smooth commercial transactions. 

As a contract manager, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead contract lifecycle management processes, from initiation through to execution, organization and compliance management, and continuously improve contract lifecycle processes. 
  • Support the legal commercial team through contract lifecycles, and assess and mitigate risks relating to such lifecycle. 
  • Serve as the legal team’s owner of our CRM (Salesforce), and serve as the commercial legal team’s lead in contract data management.  
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating confidentiality agreements and a wide-range of other commercial agreements on an as-needed basis, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal requirements. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to enable smooth business transactions, improve efficiency, streamline contractual processes, and assist with other commercial legal matters such as insurance management, KYC matters, client requests, etc.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance awareness of legal commercial issues and processes among internal stakeholders. 

Here is what will qualify you for the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or other degree in a relevant discipline, with at least 3 years (ideally more) of experience as a contract manager.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to implement and continuously improve internal processes, driving immediate and persisting value to the company; experience with CRMs or contract lifecycle processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy, adept at delivering under pressure and managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What would make you stand out: 

  • Prior experience within the SaaS industry.  
  • Experience in sell-side commercial matters.  
  • Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations. 
  • Working proficiency in French.
