For joining us today. My name is Juanita Oguin, I lead product marketing for our platform solutions, which includes helping our marketing and digital workplace leaders really rethink their business and use search AI and generative answering to help really transform the digital It's is being provided. Today, I am excited to be joined by my amazing colleague, Mucolica Day. Mucol is a product manager for search and UI, Mucol How are you today? Thank you, Anita. Very well. I hope you're doing well too. I'm I'm very excited to be here today. Yes. Thank you for joining us. And, for those of you, in the audience today, obviously today, we will be talking about our new in Cobeo Innovations for Workplace. By now, you should have likely joined this either at relevance three sixty or at our other three sessions, which were service, website, or commerce. So today, we'll talk to you about, some of our workplace innovations a little bit of the art of the possible and then open it up for a question and answering, for you. We will use about thirty to forty five minutes to take you through our session today. We'd love to hear from you. So please do feel free to ask your questions along the way in our Q and a or chat, we do have our team in the background helping to support us. So to get started, Obviously, we need to show our disclaimer slide. We will be talking about, our latest innovations as well as some future road map items. So Just want to guide you to make any purchasing decisions based off of publicly available information. And with that, we wanted to get started, by showing you how we think about and look at the digital workplace. Hopefully, this slide looks familiar, hence it looks a little busy. That's because it represents the reality of enterprises today. And the reality of enterprises today is that, it's essentially a collection of different departments each with their own set of applications, data storage, repositories, maybe knowledge bases. And these, as we know, are tend to tend to be managed in much a very siloed, manner. And so with Coveo, our goal and our hope is that we help you create a connected intelligent digital workplace one department at a time. And so what you can see here are just a few examples of the front office teams and use cases that we've helped to amplify. Middle office, everything from intranets to HR and IT portals, and even department to solutions for teams like product and r and d, And back office as well. So thinking about the service teams that are supporting employees, not just end customers. How can we help amplify amplify them and make them proficient, so that they are delivering great service internally or even externally. You can see here a lot of different logo systems and applications. We know that the enterprise, has thousands of applications being managed by teams And so we don't want to add another application on top of it rather we're looking to help be that intelligence layer connecting your systems and information. Because teams increasingly need access to information, real time, wherever they are. And that's why we are excited that we're able to provide a variety of UI interfaces where you can use cloveo, meaning you can use us right within your, applications such as Sitecore, Adobe, or even Salesforce and ServiceNow, or you can use this in other different interfaces, including Slack, standalone search pages, and so on. So really a lot of options here available to you to really create that in audience digital workplace. I wanted to go, a step deeper here to, share our thinking around this, idea of, every organization is at a very different stage of digital maturity. And so often our customers kinda come to us asking for guidance on, you know, what they should do, where they should get started, and how they should think about their workplace. And so what I'm showing here essentially represents the fact that, there are multiple levels when it comes to an employee's digital workplace journey. I started with level one as a company wide intranet because this is that digital gateway into the total enterprise, and it's a way for companies to keep employees engaged and informed, as well as build a sense of belonging. If you're a large enterprise with, globally distributed employees, obviously, this is a critical aspect of keeping your, talent, you know, engaged and aligned. But there's also, you know, the ability to build more of these personalized spaces that we're talking about using what we know about employees, including their departments, their activity, and such to build that personalized experience so they can know what's going on for projects that, you know, they they are assigned to or topics and things of such that they'll they'll be working on. What you can see here is a little help button which, takes me to level three, which is what I call a little bit of the follow me search for employees. And that's really Koveo's end product experience, the ability to have this sort of chat bot like experience, which follows employee across web based or SaaS based applications so they can get AI powered recommendations, guidance, and answers to their questions, again, in the flow of their work. Lastly, here, I'm showing a very popular, interface, which is Slack being able to, use Covayo's AI search and recommendations right within Slack. Again, so you are meeting employees where there are where they are in the flow of work. And really, there is no right or wrong answer in terms of where you get started, for I would I would say more growth or, younger companies maybe Slack is the right place to get started. But for those companies that have been investing in an intranet for decades, right, and and pouring big investments into making that great experience, that might be a place that you wanna start. And so hopefully this gives you a view of all the different ways and places that you can think about leveraging AI search, and even generative answering experiences. So those of you familiar with Coveo, would know that we we try to provide a full stack platform instead of capabilities that are flexible enough to fit with your enterprise And the fact of the matter is every enterprise is different. Right? Every company has a different set of applications and systems that they're working with. And so our goal is to arm your teams with best of breed technologies, open and headless capabilities, so that you have easy ways of building those great experiences. And so there's a lot on this slide, but if I could try to explain it to you, At the bottom layer is all of our connectivity or connectors to popular enterprise applications, a few of which I showed on the prior two slides. In the middle is our suite of AI models that are behavioral, deep learning, and even LLMs to support your teams and help them to scale. Then I kind of mentioned this before. The top layer is the UI integrations and and native integrations and other interfaces that we provide to you, including APIs, again, to allow you to build great experiences no matter where you're making those UI or digital workplace investments. And of course, to the right, a bit, you can see we offer analytics and reporting and dash board so you can get insight into the impact you're bringing to your business. Of course, we're talking about workplace today, but Kobayo is a enterprise wide platform that you can use across the business, and that's what you see at the top here in the blue. You can use our platform across your different teams, departments, and applications. It's not just internal to workplace. It's across the total enterprise. Now we're gonna get into our new EnCO Vail fall release so for those of you not familiar, this is a twice a year release that we actually embark in. And the idea here is that we are grouping our latest innovations over the last six months as well as those those upcoming releases over the next few weeks. To catch you all up on, what we have for you to offer and what we have for you to implement within your own organizations. You would know that we're a SaaS based cloud based organization, which means that we are constantly innovating and releasing these capabilities as we go. So some of these might sound familiar to you. We might have announced them a couple of months ago. But again, here, we're trying to take a comprehensive approach and catch you all up to leverage these latest capabilities in a more comprehensive format. So Muku and I are gonna take you through these innovations And what you see here are over fifteen different capabilities that we've released into the market. Today, we are gonna cover those that are highlighted ingrained which will fall across the different capabilities that align to our Cobail admin console. So we'll cover our connectivity and integration, innovations, search and UI innovations, machine learning, data and reporting, and, of course, security and infrastructure. So I'm gonna jump into our machine learning innovations. Now I mentioned this above, but I think it's important to highlight that Koveo has a suite of out of the box AI models being used by some of the largest, most progressive enterprises out there today. So what you can see here from our list are the eleven AI models with generative answering, representing the eleventh But you can see they really are used across the buyer journey. And so if we look at, you know, what users are engaging in or what their intent is. They're browsing, trying to find and discover. If you're, you know, looking to buy their shopping, selecting. If it's a customer, they're looking for support and teams need a support in case deflection. And, of course, if you're an employee, you're looking to get work done and and and to become knowledgeable and proficient. And so you can see these models really do, go across these different intent or user journeys. And so it's important to highlight that, you know, it's not just one, but really a collection that helped make the experiences, intelligent, and also help teams to scale. So we're gonna dig in deeper to, of course, generative answering, which is our most exciting model today. By now, I do hope that you've seen our demos. And if not, we can take you more in-depth to into what we have to offer. But, of course, our latest, relevant generative answering model is intended to meet those changing user expectation and leverage the latest in cutting edge technologies to answer those natural language queries that users are now engaging in. And so you can see here an example of what our generative answering looks like in practice. It's within As you see it here, it's within a normal search results interface. We still see other, components and capabilities and as part of the search and discovery process. But here, you know, the relevant generative answering is providing an answer for end users and being able to pull across multiple document and documents and sources of information while respecting permissions, maintaining content freshness, and limiting hallucinations. What we're working on, we'll be providing support for multiple document types. We know that the workplace has structured and unstructured data. So there will be support for PDF, PowerPoint, and and Docs. Obviously, scale is important when it comes to the enterprise. So we'll be able to score up to ten million vectors. We are, as you can see in the image, we do have site patience and we'll continue to improve those over time, to help improve verifiability of an answer. Also wanted to call out, you know, there's a toggle here that we're also exploring and testing with our customers to turn off this capability, as as is needed depending on, you know, what the use case or interface is. We're building this to be headless and with quantic components, quantic, quantic having to do with our Salesforce, user interface. And, of course, it will be tracking here to assess how well this answer, is meeting and user expectations. This will be available across all regions and be HIPAA compliant. And as I mentioned, of course, everything we do is to really be enterprise wide and multi use case. So I'll show you some examples of this across service, workplace and even commerce. And then I'll show you a little bit of road map items for generative answering. But the one thing I did wanna get started with was covering the implementation time or how quick and easy it is to get started with relevant generative answering. Based off of the testing and beta users we have, which includes over forty different customers. We are seeing this to be about a ninety minute implementation time really making it easy for your teams to set up quickly, get fast time to value, and help to improve end user expectations. And the way we are able to do this is by, you know, building really intuitive interfaces and making this very out of the box. If you've used Coveo's other AI models, which you can see here, query suggestions, content recommendations, and even case classification, The experience is meant to be, very straightforward, point and click, trying to be very low code or no code in some cases. And so that's exactly the same, approach we are going with for generative answering as well. It'll be another model that'll be in our admin interface, which you can see here. We'll also have, stats about the model, the health, the performance just to assess how it's performing. And the other thing which Mooka will get into a little bit later is we have been working on a builder framework, which again is is making it very easy for our business users to build, quick experiences, more point and click as you can see here. And so this will be an option as well. For generative answering, you can see it's really a click of a button to turn on this capability. And we can see it being added to a interface being previewed before it gets launched. So, again, trying to make this easy teams to implement and get the value of. In its format today. We've mostly been talking about, generative answering from, you know, hosted search interface page. So that's what you see here. The answer within a a typical search interface page. And and so that's performing very well for our beta customers. But we'll also be, a We'll also be rolling this out as I mentioned across many different interfaces. So what you can see here is generative answering within our in product experience. I mentioned this was that chatbot like experience that users can click to ask a question and within there, they're gonna get recommendations, suggestions, contents, and now they'll get generative answering as well. We also will be making this available within the Salesforce agent console. For so for those of you using Salesforce within your workplace and enterprise, This is a capability they'll be able to leverage, again, making it easier and quicker for agents, to answer customer questions to improve that overall customer experience. And into the future, We will also be providing this within our insight panel, and you'll hear about some of our hosted insight panel updates from Google shortly. So you can see that here on the right hand side, There's an insight panel where generative answering will be made available. Of course, this would not be a workplace conversation if we did not talk about intranet. So here you can see the ability to embed generative answering, within the Internet to save employees time from having to search providing them answers based off of who they are. They're or their context. Alright. Just quickly covering, roadmap for this capability. We will be focusing on improving relevance, accuracy, and factuality. We're working on a conversational experience as well as platform extensibility. We know that there's a lot of data and information we have, and so we wanna make sure you're able to use Coveo across all of your other applications and maybe BI tools as well. So we're exploring this, further. But just to give you an idea of some of some of the items we have coming up in the short term, the first is rich formatting. So what you can see here, again, is a a very different layout, and style for an answer being generated for an end user. This is a little bit of a commerce, experience, but I think it showcases where we're going in terms of, you know, styling and formatting. And the fact of the matter is everyone learns a little bit differently. So having these options on reformulating or different styling is very important. In this case, one thing we're exploring, again, for commerce users, but this can be, useful for other use cases as well as a as a pop up button. Right? So now you're making suggestions or recommendations to users to take them to the next step that you wanna you want them to, execute. And so we're exploring ways of, again, providing low pressure, recommendations or suggestions to help your business as well with with your own outcomes. Now getting into conversational search, we heard a lot from our customers that this is something that they're interested in. And so what you can see here is a user asking a question about the difference between a personal, personal loan and a commercial loan. And you can see an answer is being generated for that end user. But in addition to that, there's actually prompts being suggested to the user so that they are they know what next steps they can take. And it's almost as if you're taking them on a journey as well, to get them closer to taking that next best action that you want them to take. So let's assume they click on the how can I apply? Here, again, they're getting answers, direct answers to their questions without having to navigate away from the interface without having to click through multiple different documents, they're getting the sources of their information from the citations. But again, they're getting that next step to take them closer to the action you want them to to perform, which here is applying for a commercial loan, which makes them successful, but also you successful from a business perspective as well. So hopefully that gives you an idea of the innovations. We've been making on generative answering. We will share more links with you if you're if you're interested in learning more. But from here, I will pass it on to Muku to take us through the rest of our innovations for the fall release. Some, thank you so much, Juanita. So let's start off with the connectivity segments. First, we have the GraphQL connector. So the GraphQL was actually released in beta just last quarter around the end of July. And the concept of the GraphQL for those who are not aware is actually quite similar to our REST API, but with the main difference of the number of API calls that are made. So with the rest API, we're requesting data based on specific entities. So it's an API call per entity. Whereas for the GraphQL, you only need to make a single query and retrieve the data based on the entity relationships. And this actually makes GraphQL quite powerful, very precise and flexible when it comes to requesting and indexing the information that we need. So from a workplace perspective, let's say your company uses GitHub to manage your software code, and you want to be able to list the PRs that every member of your company did. You will be able to use the GraphQL connector to query GitHub API and index the desired content that you need. So with the GraphQL connector, you're actually able to index many softwares, including many headless CMS frameworks like exam cloud, Adobe, and much more. And as mentioned, the connector is available in beta. So we're doing an open beta testing call for everyone to try it out and give us feedback after they use it. Here, we have the website connector. So earlier this year, we introduced new enhancements to our website connector, and we are happy to announce that it is now in GA. This website connector, you know, has been around for a very long time now, and it's been adopted by many customers over the last many years. And we believe that the customers will be able to now enjoy this new sign of a connector that they're already familiar with. When it comes to connecting, just like the GraphQL for a workplace use case, because customers can use the website connector to expose any public content into their intranet sites to help with any internal communication within the company. Through this revamp, the connector was enhanced by simplifying the overall connectivity process with features like the crawling rules, web scraping, and added support for authentication. If you want to learn more, I invite you to watch the website new Incoveo webinar that was done just last week, to just get a more in-depth overview of all new things regarding the website's line of business. Now here we have Cobail for Salesforce b five. So since we have a growing number of Salesforce workplace customers, we wanted to highlight some of the key features that we believe are relevant to you. So with the new major version release of the b five for Cravio for Salesforce, There are actually several new capabilities that were released with the quantic insight panel, including folding, smart snippets, featured result tag and much more. More specifically, we actually now make it possible to also generate a custom platform token for the Covalentech Insight Panel components as it helps to simplify the entire management of custom identities. And if you want to learn more about everything that was released in this v five version. We invite you to check out our public documentation to get that overall in-depth overview. Now let's talk about all things related to search and UI. Starting off with the Cobail builder. So the Cabail builder for those are not aware is a tool on our Cabail Administration console that allows customers to use out of the box components to easily build any service experience such as the hosted insight panel, the next gen IPX or simply a search page. It's a super powerful tool for any workplace customer who wishes to integrate either a service or search experience to their solution without needing to do any coding and just use a drag and drop functionality. So now that we have a idea of what the Covio Builders all about. Let's walk through some of the features that we've been working on with this tool. So first off, we have the next gen search page builder. So this is a new builder interface that allows customers to build, design, configure, and deploy directly from the Coville admin console. This feature fits with multiple workplace use cases as it can be used across different sites, communities, portals, and much more. This feature is actually about to go GA very, very soon by the end of this month in October. So just keep an eye out when the release announcement is made. Here we have the next gen IPX updates. So this interface is also based on the Cobail Builder, and we have introduced some new capabilities to enforce some of the best practices that we like to follow. And some of these features include being able to search securely pushing content to IPS to add new personalization, having more quick view support as well as support or latest machine learning innovations like our generative answering solution. And if you want to learn more about all of these features, we do have a public documentation that talks about these so I invite you to check those out as well. Next, we have some updates regarding our hosted insight panel. So the hosted insight panel is essentially a solution that allows a customer to build their insight panel directly from Arcaveo Administration patient console using as you guessed it, the Cobail builder. And we've added many new capabilities like the feature tag, smart snippets, manual facet sorting, as well as the capability to send as email and post to feed result actions. But there's one particular feature that we're really excited to talk about, and that's going to be on the next slide. And this feature that we're super excited to talk about is the version history capability that comes with the hosted insight panel. So this version history will be available from Coveo's hosted insight panel, but also with our next gen IPX interface. With this feature, customers are able to track, manage, comment, and recover versions of specific interfaces. And we're super excited that this feature is in GA for the hosted insight panel, and we're expecting to go GA for the next gen IPX sometime in q one of twenty twenty four. So stay on the lookout for that one. Here we have the hosted Insight Panel feature that was recently released, which is the viewed by customer tag. This capability actually exists in the classic insight panel that we wanted to bring back to ensure that agents know what customers already have viewed so that they don't send duplicate information to that as you can see, we have several service capabilities that we recently released. So if you want to learn more about any of the features that I just introduced you to, I invite you to watch the service new in Caville webinar that happened just yesterday, I believe. And they'll be able to give you a better deep dive on all of these capabilities that we just spoke about. Now let's move on to some of our platform capabilities. So here we have the passive generator. The fast generator is a new feature that we recently released that automatically generates the most relevant search facets on your search interface based on the query that the user makes as well as your index content. As you can see, it's a super powerful feature that can easily be integrated into your solution. This feature was introduced at the end of sometime in twenty twenty two, but it was only available via the APIs. But today, we're happy to announce that it is now also available for headless implementations. So feel free to try it out and let us know how you like it. Atomic UI releases. So With the growing adoption of the atomic library, there are a few enhancements that we've introduced in the last year to better support our implementers. The first enhancement is that we now have a shared community space repository of atomic custom components that one can easily browse, install, and reuse in their search page implementations. Currently, we have about eight custom components that were created by your fellow developers. So we invite any other implement who have worked with the atomic library and created custom components that they can now upload it to this shared community pository so that it can easily be discoverable by other developers helping everyone to reduce time to deploy these custom components. Another capability that we introduced is that customers are now able to deploy their customized atomic search pages directly to our Cobail Administration platform. And with that customized search page, they're able to easily inject it into their personal site with the with the use of one single component. If you want to learn more about these features, we have several user articles that can help guide you through the process of either deploying your atomic search pages or being able to use our atomic custom components. Now let's talk a little bit about our data and reporting capabilities. Starting off with the relevance inspector. So the relevant This inspector is a tool that we introduced earlier this year in beta that allows administrators of organizations to easily troubleshoot the relevance of their search results for a specific query. So let's say in your search page, you search for finance reports but your top result is company holidays. Then you'll be able to leverage the relevance inspector tool to troubleshoot why exactly that happens. So through this tool, you are able to inspect the query pipelines that the query routed through the rules that it acted that query, the ranking score of the resolves, and much more. And with that, we are happy to announced that this tool is in GA and it's ready to be used by all administrators of organizations. So if you want to learn more, you can out our public documentation or our level up tutorial to learn more about this tool. Here we have the data health overview dashboard. So earlier this year, we introduced the event browser, which essentially enables you to easily monitor the performance and health of your data by tracking the latest events that are sent to the database. Now, we are introducing the data health overview dot dashboard, which provides a summary of the health of event analytics data. And this overview dashboard essentially provides you aggregated and detailed view of those events that have failed validation and allowing those customers to easily self resolve. This feature is also in GA and it's ready to be used. So feel free to check it out and let us know how you like it. And finally, security and infrastructure. First off, quick announcement regarding to our commitment towards security and privacy is that we are now officially ISOO twenty seven thousand one certified. This certification demonstrates that we follow the proper standards to protect and manage sensitive information of our employees and customers. We are super proud and happy that we received this certification. We just wanted to highlight that we are committed towards our security and privacy. And here activeactive and the five nines premium. So as a platform company who gives their customers a guaranteed uptime of at least ninety nine point nine percent. Customers expect to always have that uptime and not have their search go down. So to strengthen our position, active active essentially allows us to have that uptime that the customers expect but also helps them to have that improved performance in their search results. With active active, Kobio essentially distributes the load between two regions that work in pair, the east and the Midwest. So if an issue occurs in one of these regions, Coveo automatically re routes the traffic to the healthy region to help increase resiliency of your implementation. Furthermore, if US customers desire to purchase the five nine premium, you can do so by contacting your account team. And that's it. I will now pass it back to Anita to wrap up this presentation. Thanks, Muku. Lots of great innovations, and hopefully that gives you a flavor, for those of you joining us of, how comprehensive we, we take our innovations. In terms of where you can learn more, there's a few places I wanted to point you If you're an existing Coveo customer, we have our level of site, which, has access to learning modules for some of these major capabilities, so you can, visit that to learn more. We also have a new ENCoveo release page where we detail all of the capabilities. Today, we only covered a select few for workplace. There were a few others. We did not, cover, but you can find out more about those on, on the second point here. I also wanted to direct you to a two direct you to a few other places. The first is we have a joint webinar next week with our partner right point who is a consultancy. So, here, we'll take some of the innovations we discussed today and actually showcase it to you in a demo. It's always nice to see it actually in action so that you can visualize what this might look like you. So this would be a knowledge management, demo. That right point will help us, deliver. So we'll get you that link to register. And lastly, we did wanna mention we will be at CAM World. So if you're going to Cam World, do let us know. We have a book a meeting page, but if you're a customer of ours, please do reach out through your CSM. I'll be there. We'd love to meet with you. We a presentation session as well. So, yeah, if you're going, please do let us know. With that, We will open it up to some Q and A, so it's not too late to submit your questions. I do see one muku that I will pitch your way, especially because you're the product manager for search UI. So the question is does headless include the atomic UI to support generative answers? So just as a general concept, atomic is based on our headless framework. And yes, generative answers is supported, through our headless frameworks. So it will be supported with our atomic library as well. Amazing. Thank you for that. The other thing I did wanna call out is, Thank you, Diane, and Ahmed in the background for sharing a few links. We also have our Coveo relevant award applications that are now live. So, again, if you're a Cavell customer and, you are interested in showcasing the amazing work you're implementing at your organization, we do highly encourage you to apply. Let us know if you have any questions, but that direct link is in the chat. With that, I don't see any other questions, which is totally fine. You can follow-up with us offline. Do wanna thank you for spending the last thirty to forty five minutes with us. Muku, thank you for helping me cover all of these innovations. My pleasure. Thank you, Anita. Thank you all.
New in Coveo: Fall 2023: Workplace
