Louis Tetu, Executive Chairman
Prior to Coveo, Mr. Tetu co-founded Taleo Corporation [NASDAQ: TLEO], the leading international provider of on-demand Internet software for talent and human capital management, where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors from the company inception in 1999 through 2007. In 2004, Taleo was recognized the 11th fastest growing technology company in the United States within the Deloitte Technology Fast 500.
Prior to Taleo, Mr. Tetu was President of Baan SCS, the supply-chain management solutions group of Baan, a global enterprise software company with more than 5,000 employees. This followed Baan's acquisition of Berclain Group inc., which Mr. Tetu co-founded in 1989 and where he served as president until 1996. Mr. Tetu is an Engineering graduate from Laval University of Canada in 1985 and in 1997 was honoured by Laval for his outstanding social contributions and business achievements. He also received the 2006 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year award in the Technology and Communication category.
Outside of his professional career, Mr. Tetu is a private equity investor involved in technology and infrastructure projects within emerging countries, as well as a commercially licensed helicopter pilot. He lives in Quebec with his wife and their three children, and he currently serves on the board of Entraide Mutual Life Insurance Company of Canada and Coveo.
Laurent Simoneau, President and CEO
Laurent Simoneau is President and Chief Executive Officer of Coveo, and is considered one of industry’s top enterprise search experts. In his role, Mr. Simoneau is responsible for leading Coveo’s day-to-day strategic operations and positioning the company for continued success.
Mr. Simoneau brings to this position a wealth of solid business and technical experience, stemming from his early years of developing and bringing to market some of the most innovative search products to date.
Prior to his leadership role at Coveo, Mr. Simoneau was Chief Operating Officer at Copernic, the industry’s leading desktop search technology company. Here, Mr. Simoneau successfully orchestrated the spin-off of the company’s enterprise search division in 2004 into what is now Coveo.
Mr. Simoneau also served as CTO of Copernic for six years, during which he effectively guided product strategy and directed the research and development of core technologies.
Mr. Simoneau is a graduate of Université du Quebec, where he holds an MBA degree. Professionally, he enjoys participating in discussions on ways to stimulate the unique value of technology startups in today’s business economy. He resides in Quebec City with his wife and children, with whom he enjoys playing hockey on the weekends.
Jean Lavigueur, Chief Financial Officer
Jean Lavigueur is Coveo's Chief Financial Officer. A seasoned finance executive with a wide range of business experience, he is responsible for leading Coveo's financial strength.
Prior to Coveo, Mr. Lavigueur co-founded Taleo Corporation [NASDAQ: TLEO], a leading international provider of on-demand Internet software for talent and human capital management, where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer from its inception in 1999 through May 2005. He also held the role of Vice President, Finance. In 2004, Taleo was recognized the 11th fastest growing technology company in the United States within the Deloitte Technology Fast 500.
Prior to Taleo, Mr. Lavigueur was Chief Financial Officer of Baan's supply-chain management solutions group, Baan SCS, a global enterprise software company with more than 5,000 employees. This followed Baan's acquisition of Berclain Group, Inc., a leading provider of supply chain management solutions, where he also held the role of Chief Financial Officer.
Preceding his employment with Berclain Group, Mr. Lavigueur held senior positions in the audit and tax divisions of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), a global provider of industry-focused assurance, tax and advisory services.
Mr. Lavigueur is a graduate of Laval University, where he holds a degree in Business Administration. He has also been a Chartered Accountant since 1986.
Richard Tessier, Executive Vice President, Products
As Executive Vice President, Products, Richard Tessier oversees the development and overall strength of Coveo’s product offerings.
With over a decade of experience in the search industry, Mr. Tessier has a keen understanding of client needs related to search products and has applied this knowledge to developing award-winning products that fulfill those needs in innovative and cost effective ways.
Prior to his role at Coveo, Mr. Tessier was Director of Software Development at Copernic, the leading desktop search technology company, where he oversaw the enterprise software division. In 2004, Tessier played a key role in the successful spin-off of this division into what is now Coveo.
Mr. Tessier is an Electrical Engineering graduate of Laval University in Quebec, where he holds a B.S. degree. He lives in Quebec with his wife and three daughters. Passionate about sports and the outdoors, he enjoys playing tennis and basketball. Tessier also enjoys peaceful backpacking and snowshoeing trips throughout Quebec’s backcountry.
Marc Sanfaçon, Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Marc Sanfaçon leads the development and innovation of Coveo’s award-winning search technology offerings.
With more than 16 years of direct experience in software development, Mr. Sanfaçon has been at the forefront of search innovation and utilizes this knowledge to successfully direct teams on large software projects.
Previously, Mr. Sanfaçon held the role of Director of Technologies for Copernic, the industry’s leading desktop search technology company, where he directed the development efforts for the company's core search technologies.
Prior to joining Copernic, Mr. Sanfaçon held the role of Senior Software Developer with the Berclain Group Inc., a leading provider of supply chain management solutions.
Aside from his professional interests, Mr. Sanfaçon enjoys technology and sports, specifically water skiing, soccer and golf in the summer and skiing in the winter. He lives in Quebec with his wife and two children.
Diane Berry, Vice President, Marketing and Communication
Diane Berry is Vice President, Marketing and Communication of Coveo, and leads the organization’s strategic positioning, go-to-market strategies, and its communication with all constituencies.
Ms. Berry was previously SVP, Global Marketing and Communication with Taleo Corp. [NASDAQ: TLEO], the leading international provider of on-demand Internet software for talent and human capital management, from its initial round of financing to its public offering. At Taleo, Ms. Berry was responsible for all global marketing, from new product launches to analyst and media relations, customer value studies, customer user groups and strategic messaging and positioning. Following Taleo, Diane was Chief Marketing Officer of SelectMinds, a corporate social media solutions provider, where she defined the organization’s messaging and positioning, conducted value studies, thought-leadership engagements and became an industry spokesperson for the value social media brings to business. Ms. Berry also led the company’s product expansion from a provider of corporate alumni networks to a leading provider of social media solutions for many different corporate constituencies, from employees to customers. Ms. Berry has also served as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer with Smyth Solutions, a SaaS provider of accounts receivable and credit solutions and outsourcing services, and as an executive in the publishing industry, where she was instrumental in the successful Initial Public Offering of Journal Register Company on the NYSE.
Ms. Berry resides with her husband and assorted horses and dogs on their farm in New Jersey; she is a passionate equestrian and competes in the discipline of eventing.
Benoit Leclerc, Executive Vice President, Sales
Benoit Leclerc is Executive Vice President for Sales & Client Services at Coveo. In this role, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company’s sales organization.
Mr. Leclerc brings proven revenue-generating experience to Coveo from his previous Sales leadership positions. As Vice President of International Sales at Taleo Corporation [NASDAQ: TLEO], the leading international provider of on-demand Internet software for talent and human capital management, Leclerc helped build the company’s business in Canada, the USA, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining Taleo, Mr. Leclerc was Managing Director for the Eastern SAP Canada—a rapidly-growing subsidiary of SAP AG, the world's leading provider of business software. Mr. Leclerc’s experience is rounded off by the senior roles he has held with other best-of-breed companies in the software solutions, system integration and telecommunications domains.
Mr. Leclerc holds a Civil Engineering degree from Université de Montréal. Outside of work, he is a fan of home renovation projects and is a busy father of three young teenagers.
Barry Lieberman, Vice President, U.S. Sales
As Vice President, U.S. Sales for Coveo, Mr. Lieberman is responsible for overseeing all of Coveo’s U.S. sales and for maintaining consistent revenue growth in the region. Mr. Lieberman brings to Coveo over 15 years of experience from a variety of sales management positions in the enterprise search market and in other enterprise software sectors.
Most recently, he implemented a variety of processes that resulted in rapid growth of the new business pipeline at SuccessFactors, Inc., a global provider of on-demand performance and talent management solutions. For five years, Lieberman was Vice President, Direct Sales, Central West, at enterprise search vendor Endeca Technologies, where he led the sales group to unprecedented growth levels. Lieberman’s experience also includes sales management positions at i2 Technologies, Platinum Technologies, Inc., and CAM (Computer Aided Management).
Mr. Lieberman resides in Vernon Hills, Illinois, and holds a B.A. degree in Communications with a concentration in Marketing from The University of Iowa.
Dominic Lajoie, Vice President, Services
As Vice President of Services, Support and Solution Consulting Processes, Dominic Lajoie is responsible of overseeing Coveo's service organization by providing ongoing support and consulting to a global customer base through a team of dynamic and dedicated professionals. His personal motivations include making sure all Coveo customers get the most of their investment and maintain a high level of satisfaction. Mr. Lajoie built and manages Coveo's professional services, education, implementation, support, outsourcing and other key service areas.
Prior to joining Coveo, Mr. Lajoie spent more than 10 years as a strategic consultant for CGI and Fujitsu in various management roles, helping organizations, such as Microsoft, Boeing, Russell Investments Group and State Government agencies, building innovative business solutions with leading technology.
Mr. Lajoie is a Computer Science graduate of Université Laval in Quebec, and also a certified Scrum Master. Outside of his professional career, he enjoys the great outdoors by snowboarding and riding his road bike in Quebec city, where he lives with his family.
Fred Harding, Senior Vice President, Major Alliances
Fred Harding is the Senior Vice President responsible for the program management of Coveo’s Major Alliances. With 12+ years in the software industry and having played key roles in two innovation-driven startup companies, Mr. Harding brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the position.
Prior to Coveo, Mr. Harding was the Vice President, Global Alliances at Taleo Corporation [NASDAQ: TLEO], where he was responsible for evolving the program strategy and directing operational delivery for all Channel Re-seller and Solution partners. Mr. Harding joined Taleo in December 1999, where he initially led the implementation of Taleo’s first U.S.-based customer and built up the infrastructure and consulting bench of the professional services team in the East USA region. In July 2001, Mr. Harding was appointed to create the Alliances practice, develop partnerships and programs which complimented Taleo’s OnDemand software model and strategically augmented Taleo’s growth in the Talent Management space.
Prior to Taleo, Mr. Harding joined Positionwatch in May 1997 as a founding member with responsibility for Key Account Management and revenue growth. Positionwatch was a pioneer in the internet recruiting market, being one of the first software vendors in the industry to successfully deliver a complete job board multi-posting engine as well as a true ‘real-time’, virtual career fair solution.
Mr. Harding graduated from McGill University with a B.Sc in 1992 majoring in human anatomy and cell biology. He also received certification in 1996 in software programming from CDI College.
Outside his professional career, Mr. Harding is a recreational distance runner, having completed several marathons and half-marathons. He also enjoys skiing with his family in the winter months and can be found out on-the-water racing sailboats in the summer months. Mr. Harding lives in Oakville with his wife and two sons.
