Louis Tetu, Chairman and CEO
Louis Tetu is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Coveo. Prior to Coveo, Mr. Tetu co-founded Taleo Corporation [NASDAQ: TLEO], the leading international provider of on-demand Internet software for talent and human capital management, where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors from the company's inception in 1999 through 2007. In 2004, Taleo was recognized the 11th fastest growing technology company in the United States within the Deloitte Technology Fast 500.
Prior to Taleo, Mr. Tetu was President of Baan SCS, the supply-chain management solutions group of Baan, a global enterprise software company with more than 5,000 employees. This followed Baan's acquisition of Berclain Group inc., which Mr. Tetu co-founded in 1989 and where he served as president until 1996. Mr. Tetu is an Engineering graduate from Laval University of Canada in 1985 and in 1997 was honoured by Laval for his outstanding social contributions and business achievements. He also received the 2006 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year award in the Technology and Communication category.
Outside of his professional career, Mr. Tetu is a private equity investor involved in technology and infrastructure projects within emerging countries, as well as a commercially licensed helicopter pilot. He lives in Quebec with his wife and their three children.
Laurent Simoneau, President and CTO
Laurent Simoneau is President and CTO of Coveo, and is considered one of industry’s top enterprise search experts. Prior to Coveo, Mr. Simoneau was CTO of Copernic, an early leader in desktop search, where he oversaw the company’s product strategy and directed the research and development of core technologies. Mr. Simoneau also served as Chief Operating Officer at Copernic during which he successfully orchestrated the spin-off of the company’s enterprise search division in 2004 into what is now Coveo.
Mr. Simoneau is a graduate of Université du Quebec, where he holds an MBA degree. He resides in Quebec City with his wife and children.
Jean Lavigueur, CA, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Jean Lavigueur, CA is Coveo's Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Coveo, Mr. Lavigueur co-founded Taleo Corporation [NASDAQ: TLEO], a leading international provider of on-demand Internet software for talent and human capital management, where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer from its inception in 1999 through May 2005. He also held the role of Vice President, Finance. In 2004, Taleo was recognized the 11th fastest growing technology company in the United States within the Deloitte Technology Fast 500.
Prior to Taleo, Mr. Lavigueur was Chief Financial Officer of Baan's supply-chain management solutions group, Baan SCS, a global enterprise software company with more than 5,000 employees. This followed Baan's acquisition of Berclain Group, Inc., a leading provider of supply chain management solutions, where he also held the role of Chief Financial Officer.
Preceding his employment with Berclain Group, Mr. Lavigueur held senior positions in the audit and tax divisions of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), a global provider of industry-focused assurance, tax and advisory services.
Mr. Lavigueur is a graduate of Laval University, where he holds a degree in Business Administration. He has also been a Chartered Accountant since 1986.
Richard Tessier, Senior Vice President, Products
Richard Tessier serves as Coveo's Senior Vice President of Products. With over a decade of experience in the search industry, Mr. Tessier has a keen understanding of client needs related to search products and has applied this knowledge to developing award-winning products that fulfill those needs in innovative ways.
Prior to his role at Coveo, Mr. Tessier was Director of Software Development at Copernic, an early leader in desktop search, where he oversaw the enterprise software division. In 2004, Tessier played a key role in the successful spin-off of this division into what is now Coveo.
Mr. Tessier received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Laval University in Quebec. He lives in Quebec with his wife and three daughters. Mr. Tessier enjoys sports and the outdoors and plays tennis and basketball and enjoys backpacking and snowshoeing trips across Quebec's backcountry.
Marc Sanfaçon, Senior Vice President, Technology
Marc Sanfacon serves as Coveo's Senior Vice President of Technology. With more than 16 years of experience in software development, Mr. Sanfaçon has been at the forefront of search innovation and utilizes this knowledge to successfully direct teams on large software projects.
Previously, Mr. Sanfaçon held the role of Director of Technologies for Copernic, an early leader in desktop search, where he directed the development efforts for the company's core search technologies.
Prior to joining Copernic, Mr. Sanfaçon held the role of Senior Software Developer with the Berclain Group Inc., a leading provider of supply chain management solutions.
Aside from his professional interests, Mr. Sanfaçon enjoys technology and sports, specifically water skiing, soccer and golf in the summer and skiing in the winter. He lives in Quebec with his wife and two children.
Diane Berry, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communication
Diane Berry is Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communication of Coveo. Ms. Berry was previously SVP, Global Marketing and Communication with Taleo Corp. [NASDAQ: TLEO], the leading international provider of on-demand Internet software for talent and human capital management, from its initial round of financing to its public offering. At Taleo, Ms. Berry was responsible for all global marketing, from new product launches to analyst and media relations, customer value studies, customer user groups and strategic messaging and positioning.
Following Taleo, Diane was Chief Marketing Officer of SelectMinds, a corporate social media solutions provider, where she defined the organization’s messaging and positioning, conducted value studies, thought-leadership engagements and became an industry spokesperson for the value social media brings to business. Ms. Berry also led the company’s product expansion from a provider of corporate alumni networks to a leading provider of social media solutions for many different corporate constituencies, from employees to customers. Ms. Berry has also served as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer with Smyth Solutions, a SaaS provider of accounts receivable and credit solutions and outsourcing services, and as an executive in the publishing industry, where she was instrumental in the successful Initial Public Offering of Journal Register Company on the NYSE.
Ms. Berry resides with her husband and assorted horses and dogs on their farm in New Jersey; she is a passionate equestrian and competes in the discipline of eventing.
Benoit Leclerc, Senior Vice President, Sales
Benoit Leclerc is Senior Vice President of Sales at Coveo. Mr. Leclerc brings proven revenue-generating experience to Coveo from his previous Sales leadership positions. As Vice President of International Sales at Taleo Corporation [NASDAQ: TLEO], the leading international provider of on-demand Internet software for talent and human capital management, Leclerc helped build the company’s business in Canada, the USA, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining Taleo, Mr. Leclerc was Managing Director for the Eastern SAP Canada—a rapidly-growing subsidiary of SAP AG, the world's leading provider of business software. Mr. Leclerc’s experience is rounded off by the senior roles he has held with other best-of-breed companies in the software solutions, system integration and telecommunications domains.
Mr. Leclerc holds a Civil Engineering degree from Université de Montréal. Outside of work, he is a fan of home renovation projects and is a busy father of three young teenagers.
Dominic Lajoie, Senior Vice President, Services
Dominic Lajoie serves as Senior Vice President of Services at Coveo. Prior to joining Coveo, Mr. Lajoie spent more than 10 years as a strategic consultant for CGI and Fujitsu in various management roles, helping organizations, such as Microsoft, Boeing, Russell Investments Group and State Government agencies, building innovative business solutions with leading technology.
Mr. Lajoie is a Computer Science graduate of Université Laval in Quebec, and also a certified Scrum Master. Outside of his professional career, he enjoys the great outdoors by snowboarding and riding his road bike in Quebec city, where he lives with his family.
Ed Shepherdson, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions
Ed Shepherdson serves as Coveo's Senior Vice President of Enterprise Solutions. Mr. Shepherdson brings 30 years of experience in the technology industry to his role with Coveo. Prior to joining Coveo, he spent 18 years at Cognos, now an IBM company, where he most recently served as Vice President of Global Customer Support. While at Cognos, Mr. Shepherdson also held a variety of senior positions in the company’s Research and Development and Applications Development teams. Mr. Shepherdson has also served as an Advisory Board member in several industry associations, including the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) and Service Strategies Corporation, which sets the standards for the Technology Services and Support Industry.
Mr. Shepherdson holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership and completed the Ivey Executive Program at the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. Outside of work, he is an avid golfer, enjoys watching Jr. hockey and spending time with his wife, son and daughter.
JP Provençal, Senior Vice President, Business Development
JP Provençal is Senior Vice President of Business Development of Coveo. Previously, he was a resident entrepreneur at Desjardins Venture Capital in Montreal, a $1 billion fund, where he served as consultant, coach and mentor to executives in companies where Desjardins had invested or planned to invest. Prior to Desjardins, Mr. Provençal was CEO of California-based InterTrade Systems, a B2B solutions provider to the Retail and Distribution sectors. InterTrade was recently acquired by Montreal-based publicly-traded Mediagrif Technologies [TSX: MDF].
Prior to InterTrade, Mr. Provençal was Vice President of Business Development of Baan SCS, the supply-chain management solutions group of Baan, a global enterprise software company, which he joined upon the acquisition of Berclain Group, Inc., where he had been Vice President of Sales. Mr. Provençal began his career at HP in solution selling, after studies at Université du Québec in Automated Production engineering.
Mr. Provençal has also acted as a private equity investor in technology companies where he played an active role. He lives in Montreal with his entrepreneurial wife and is a proud father of four young adults whom all wish to change the world in their own ways. He is also an avid golfer and skier.
