Haley and Aldrich, un client Coveo, remporte le prix CTO 25 à Info world 2010

Haley & Aldrich VP of IT Trent Parkhill recognized for his efforts in implementing an enterprise search strategy and solution that helped restore 11% of the firm’s profits lost during the recession

CHICAGO and QUEBEC CITY – June 7, 2010 Coveo, a leading provider of enterprise search and customer information access solutions, today extended congratulations to its customer, Trent Parkhill, VP of IT at Haley & Aldrich, for his recognition by InfoWorld as one of the top CTOs of 2010. The award recognizes IT leaders who demonstrate the value of innovation in technology and management skills during a time when resources were being stripped away.

Parkhill was recognized for his efforts in leveraging and driving 100 percent firm-wide adoption of Coveo’s Enterprise Search Platform that ultimately saved the hourly equivalent of hiring 15 to 17 fully productive, full-time employees. Time saved searching for expertise and information was spent on more productive, revenue generating activities. Parkhill credits this time savings with helping Haley & Aldrich to restore 11 percent profits diluted during the recession.

“Trent Parkhill is a true search evangelist and role model among his peers, helping the industry to learn how to drive and quantify meaningful value through better access to knowledge and information,” said Laurent Simoneau, CEO, Coveo. “By understanding and leveraging the capabilities of our enterprise search platform, Trent transformed the way Haley & Aldrich employees operate by providing them with near-instant access to information. This dramatically bolstered the efficiency of its consultants, enabling the firm to take on more projects, complete projects more quickly for clients, and strengthen its brand. We congratulate Trent on this well-deserved recognition.”

To enable timely access to knowledge and information, Parkhill worked with Coveo to combine structured and unstructured data from Haley & Aldrich’s enterprise systems and 20 regional offices, into a central, unified index, without moving data. From this unified indexing layer, Haley & Aldrich uses several Coveo Access Interfaces, including the Coveo Outlook Sidebar, the industry’s first fully integrated Outlook Sidebar and the Coveo Floating Desktop Search Bar. These interfaces allow Haley & Aldrich employees to “search where they work” by never leaving Outlook, or whatever program they are working in, to access information.

Parkhill also worked with Coveo’s Professional Services team to develop a customer health monitoring dashboard; implemented email, archive, SharePoint, and file share indexing; and enabled an expertise finding dashboard – essential for compiling related information that already exists and assembling teams for complex projects. In total, Coveo indexed nearly 15 terabytes of information for Haley & Aldrich. Parkhill noted that Haley & Aldrich’s data continues to grow at a rate of 70 percent per year.

“Everyone knows that 2009 was an extraordinarily tough year for most organizations, so most IT groups had to hunker down and defer many innovative efforts as revenues dried up and keeping the lights on became the only focus,” said Galen Gruman, Executive Editor, InfoWorld. “Despite that environment, some CTOs were able to move forward with innovation, in some cases finding ways to create new opportunities for their business and in others leveraging the economic crisis to make their IT operations significantly better even as they got leaner. The ability to be innovative and cost-effective was very evident in this year's InfoWorld CTO 25 winning entries. These IT leaders combined management savvy, technological insight, and the ability to lead a team to success despite difficult circumstances. This year's honorees reinvented untenable legacies, provided game-changing insight, and managed both their own teams and key organization stakeholders to make their businesses succeed through the use of technology. Our honorees did much more than implement technology well; they brought its use to a new level.”
