- 20.09.2008 | Microsoft Exchange Connector

- 08.09.2008 | New Beyond Search White Paper: Coveo G2B for Mobile Email Search
Coveo’s system works across different mobile devices, requires no third-party viewers, delivers low-latency access when searching, evidenced no rendering issues, and provided access to contacts and attachments as well as the text in an email. When compared to email search solutions from Google, Microsoft and Yahoo–Coveo’s new service provided a more robust and functional service. Beyond Search identified 13 features that set G2B apart. | Lire >
- 29.06.2008 | Coveo's Search CRM and Customer Service Offer
Chris Bucholtz from Inside CRM highlights Coveo's move to bring search to CRM and Customer Service:
What if you could do a search of your CRM system – and your ERP system, corporate intranet, tech support emails and customer support databases – and pull out specific details that apply to your customer, and do it in real-time?
That’s the thrust behind Coveo's G2B for CRM, the limited availability of which was officially announced this morning. Coveo has worked on enterprise search tools in the past, and only recently came to the realization that a search product tuned for CRM could have a ready audience. | Lire >
- 27.06.2008 | Coveo helps dig out the data
As companies search for the holy grail of a "single view" of the customer, Coveo Solutions, Inc., which provides search-powered enterprise information access, has unveiled its Coveo G2B for CRM, a way to provide a view of all relevant customer data from a wide variety of sources. G2B for CRM brings together data from such sources as salesforce.com, corporate intranets, tech support emails, customer support databases, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. | Lire >
- 26.06.2008 | Coveo helps dig out the data
Getting all the data you need into a CRM system is important, obviously, but only because it later allows you to take that information out and do something with it. In many cases, that means generating a report, then looking up the nugget of information you’re looking for.
But what if it could be done more easily? What if you could do a search of your CRM system – and your ERP system, corporate intranet, tech support emails and customer support databases – and pull out specific details that apply to your customer, and do it in real-time? | Lire >
- 03.06.2008 | Coveo: Beyond a Billion Documents
Most licensees of enterprise search systems don’t know how many documents the system must index. Coveo can handle more than 1,000,000,000 documents.
Even fewer search system licensees know that many enterprise search systems have hard limits on how many documents a system can index before choking, sometimes expiring without warning. For example, Microsoft SharePoint has a hard limit significantly below the Coveo billion document target. Microsoft acquired Fast Search & Transfer, in part, to have a work around for this scaling problem.
Coveo’s G2B Information Access solutions deliver security, relevant results, and very strong ease of use. You can “snap in” Coveo to SharePoint, Documentum, and IBM FileNet environments without custom coding. For more information, navigate to the Coveo Web site. A free trial is available. | Lire >
- 24.05.2008 | Ovum Says, ‘Microsoft Has a Plan’ for Search
The Fast Search deal is going to have to show some sizzle. At the recent Enterprise Search Summit, I stopped by the Microsoft exhibit and asked about search. I was told SharePoint was quite good. I asked about Fast Search and I was told that Fast Search had a booth. I asked, “Please, show me the Fast ESP system running on a SharePoint system.” The nice Microsoft person said, “I don’t have that information.” So, no FAST logo in the Microsoft booth and no demo that I could see. Keep in mind that there were vendors such as BA-Insight, Coveo and ISYS Search Software, among others, showing potential buyers SharePoint search systems that worked, scaled, and delivered the nifty metatagging so much in demand. | Lire >
- 16.05.2008 | Coveo’s Laurent Simoneau Interviewed
The tagline that I relished was Vivisimo’s “Search Done Right.” These three words made me salivate–nifty on-the-fly clustering and a niggling memory of a properly-prepared cut of Kobe beef. Coveo spoke directly to me with its catchphrase, “People with Knowledge Drive Business.” Yes, yes. | Lire >
- 13.05.2008 | Coveo bietet Lösung für einheitliche Suche in aktuellen und archivierten E-Mails

Dadurch sichert die Lösung zusätzlich die Einhaltung der heutigen restriktiven Compliance Regulierungen. | Lire >
- 12.05.2008 | Groping the Enterprise Search Elephant
Enterprise search system vendors assert that their technology delivers this type of solution. In most cases, these systems have to be slathered with money, time, and programming to conform to this definition of search. Many organizations want to buy intelligence, but these organizations lack the resources to make their dream come true. Example: Coveo, ISYS Search Software, SAS, Siderean Software. | Lire >
- 07.05.2008 | Enterprise Search and Train Wrecks
Information needs in an organization are dynamic. Big Name systems require time-consuming coddling. Speed wins. Little wonder that hot, up and coming system vendors like Coveo, ISYS Search Software, Siderean Software, and a handful of others are experiencing strong sales. | Lire >
- 06.05.2008 | Selecting an Enterprise Search System: The Mid-Sized Company Dilemma
A large number of mid-sized companies look at Autonomy, Endeca, and Fast Search and up and coming firms like Coveo, ISYS Search Software, and Siderean Software. In many cases, the Big Three are too expensive, too complex, and too needy of on going technical babysitting to be a good match for the mid sized firm’s overworked systems staff. Up and coming vendors of search are making significant headway in the mid market. | Lire >

- 26.04.2008 | Coveo: Pushing Beyond Search
Coveo has been successful in moving “beyond search” with its interface and assisted-search interface. But the company has also won key accounts where vendors such as RightNow, Oracle, and others have long held sway. Coveo, based in frosty Québec City, Québec, continues to innovate despite the long winters and endless hockey season. | Lire >
- 20.04.2008 | Taking Charge of Email
I found this article really interesting, because it talks about the new product that is coming out in market. Coveo solutions has released a limited of Coveo G2B for email. - 07.02.2008 | Monash Research Publication: Coveo Highlights
I talked yesterday with enterprise search vendor Coveo. Here are some highlights.
- Coveo spun out of Copernic a few years ago. The only relationship between the companies now is that Coveo licenses Copernic’s desktop search product.
- Coveo has 60 employees.
- Coveo has 5-600 customers, including lots of big-name companies.
- Coveo’s pitch boils down to “inexpensive, easy to install, and no-apologies functionality.” Actually, Coveo also claims superior relevance and performance, but I’m not going to comment much on those until I have a chance for a more technical discussion.

- 24.06.2007 | Hardware Sizing for MOSS 2007 – HP Tools

- 16.03.2007 | Boston KM Forum Meeting -- March 15, 2007
I went to an interesting session of the Boston KM Forum last night. The presenter was Marc Solomon from PRTM, and the topic was Enterprise Deployment: Warts and All (A Working Session on Intranet Development). Marc talked about the journey it took to implement PRTM's SharePoint 2003-based KM system. He had many insights on what worked and didn't, and why. Marc showed us several things that I plan to look into more.
Coveo Search -- I've seen Coveo in action before, but Marc's demonstration of the PRTM implementation reinforced how powerful and useful it is. | Lire >

- 26.12.2006 | Coveo
I am back from a three weeks break (ah, the french riviera ....) and I haven't been posting a lot in the last couple of months. It's time to get back to work!
Before I left, I was contacted by Eric Negler from Coveo. He was reacting to my previous post on Ultraseek and was looking forward to present me his product. I'm glad he did.....
Let's say, I am amazed by that search engine. My knowledge of Coveo was limited to a couple of articles and the reading of a review on the product. Coveo is fully integrated to SharePoint and is really easy to deploy and configure. The product has a really nice graphic interface, perfectly matching the SharePoint experience. | Lire >
- 23.05.2006 | When Is 'Better' Not Good Enough? -- A Tale of Effective Enterprise Search
If you follow my blog, you know that I'm a big fan of the Coveo search product. I'm shown it to several of my clients and a number have actually deployed it. In fact, I spent a good portion of last week helping one client prepare for the launch of her portal. We actually invested a fair amount of time working with the Coveo Administration tools to optimize the search experience for the user community. It got me thinking... There is no doubt (in my opinion) that the Coveo product is BETTER than the native SharePoint Portal Server search. | Lire >

- 15.12.2005 | Hot start-ups with cool technology
As part of my job with Microsoft's Emerging Business Team I get to work with lots of innovative start-ups with cool technology. Dan'l Lewin wrote an Always On editorial Checked My List Twice highlighting some of those companies. I encourage you to read the entire article but here is a list of the companies mentioned; Coveo—Specialized enterprise search with superior relevance ranking, document summaries, and integrated security. | Lire >
- 02.12.2005 | Coveo: search that "... just seems right"
I have the best job in town. I get to work with smaller software companies that are delivering unique innovation and value. They sometimes introduce a sort of conflict, too. These nimble companies often showcase Microsoft technology more quickly and better than larger, more established firms, but they also show how much better the products from established companies (including Microsoft) could -- or should -- be.
Coveo is a case in point. Coveo does a far better job of enterprise search than the big guys: Verity, Google and Microsoft. In addition, Coveo provides a special focus on Sharepoint, which is quickly becoming the de facto document store in enterprises. Coveo is a part of Microsoft's private beta program for Office 12, so they'll likely retain and even improve that lead. | Lire >
- 20.06.2005 | 3rd-Party Search for SharePoint
Enterprise Search vendor Coveo has launched a "Sharepoint" edition of its search product. Why create a commercial search engine specifically for SharePoint when the Microsoft portal comes with its own "Search Services" for free? As Enterprise Search Report readers know, SharePoint Search is relatively simple to configure, but somewhat complex to customize in depth; out of the box it is quite functional but not exactly feature rich. | Lire >
- 26.02.2005 | Coveo Enterprise Search for SharePoint
I just got word that Coveo is going to be introducing a 'plug-in' for Sharepoint next week that adds their enterprise search product to the Sharepoint Products and Technologies. I had been in contact with Dan Bauhaus, technical guy for Coveo prior so I inquired as to the news. Here is his take. | Lire >
