NYGÅRD is using Coveo Enterprise Search for SharePoint (CESS) to manage documents located in its Microsoft SharePoint portal installations, websites, and corporate file systems. Prior to using CESS, NYGÅRD was using a search application that displayed secure documents in the search result set. When the user tried to access the secure document, the search application generated an error message unrelated to permissions, causing confusion for the user.
With CESS, NYGÅRD offers comprehensive information access to its users while protecting restricted data from unauthorized access. An end user who performs a search is shown only results they are authorized to see. CESS manages user permission internally, and checks the credentials of a user before the result set is displayed - users without appropriate security permissions will not even see the document in the result set. In addition, NYGÅRD appreciates the intuitive CESS administration interface, and the overall speed of the search application. Eventually CESS will manage close to 3 million documents and will be available to over 500 users across the globe.
