Cooke Communications Replaces Manual Search with Coveo Enterprise Search

Coveo Enterprise Search Saves Untold Hours of Manual Search, and Decreases Invoice Cycles

Quebec City, Canada; Palo Alto, California - August 8, 2006 -Coveo Solutions Inc., a leading provider of secure search for the enterprise, today announced that Cooke Communications, LLC has implemented Coveo Enterprise Search (CES) to improve information access for sales and editorial staff at The Key West Citizen and its various other publications.

"Prior to using Coveo Enterprise Search, our process to verify the publication of a display or classified ad was completely manual", said John McCormick, Chief Technology Officer, Cooke Communications. "Coveo Enterprise Search allows us to improve customer service and decrease our advertiser invoicing cycles. Our investment return with Coveo Enterprise Search was immediately received. We are very impressed with the performance of the product."

CES manages content accumulated from the past two years that represent editorial articles, display, and classified advertisements across six newspapers published on a daily and weekly basis and other tourist-destination magazines. After a display or classified advertisement has run, our publications are required to verify the publication of the advertisement for the customer. For years, this verification process has been onerous-- requiring the sales and accounting staff to search through every page of every publication, create a tear sheet, and deliver it to the customer. Now, a PDF document is created for every page in each publication, and it is instantly indexed and instantly searchable. The online advertisement is immediately found and emailed to the customer, which allows for improved customer service and a reduced invoice cycle for Cooke Communications. In addition, using CES, the editorial staff has instant, comprehensive access to archived information that may be used to research upcoming stories. In the future, Cooke Communications will likely include customer access to publication archives via CES.

"Coveo has had great success in media and publishing organizations", said Laurent Simoneau, President and CEO, Coveo Solutions Inc. "In these information-rich organizations it's easy to correlate the value of enterprise search with improved revenue either through increased subscriptions, or savings through improved processes."
