Latest Version of Award-Winning Software Features Guided Search and Effortless .NET Integration
Palo Alto, California. Québec City, Canada - June 7th, 2005- Coveo Solutions Inc., a pioneer of integrated and secure search solutions for the desktop, Intranet and Web, today announced that it has released a new version of its flagship product, Coveo Enterprise Search (CES).
The latest version of CES includes many new features based on customer requests, including: out-of-the-box .NET integration; expanded browser support; Novell content acquisition and security integration; and various other performance and functionality improvements. Businesses and organizations will benefit from the added flexibility of CES 3.7 because it will allow them to reach a broader audience by easily integrating search functionality into a wider variety of systems. The resulting implementations, used in conjunction with Coveo Desktop Search (CDS), will leverage existing corporate security models and allow users to search seamlessly across desktops and multiple networks.
Coveo Enterprise Search 3.7 offers the following new features:

Guided search- New faceted search functionalities enable rapid navigation to the most relevant results. Whether honing in on results from an individual author, a particular site or a specific document format, CES helps users wade through result lists with unparalleled efficiency.

.NET controls- Expanded flexibility facilitates integration of CES into ASP.NET and Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) sites. These new, fully customizable controls make it a breeze to integrate CES's award-winning search technology into any site developed using Microsoft's .NET technologies.

Support for Mozilla Firefox- CES's search interface now fully supports the popular new browser, enabling access for a larger audience.

Forms authentication- The new version also adds indexing support for content protected using a wide variety of web forms authentication mechanisms.

Support for secure Novell indexing- CES indexing capabilities now include Novell NetWare file servers with full support for existing access permissions.
In addition to the updates made to CES, this release also introduces improvements to the separate CES for SharePoint product. These enhancements include more robust SharePoint context filtering, expanded search navigation, personal sites indexing, improved performance on large SharePoint deployments and other refinements.
