Step 1 - Run the Install Kit
Important: If Internet Information Services (IIS) is not already installed on your server, Coveo Expresso automatically deploys it during the installation. Note that you might be prompted for the path of the Windows installation files. If a reboot is required, the administrator must manually relaunch the installation kit (.exe file).
1. See the System Requirements before installing Coveo Expresso
2. Run the Installation Kit
A license agreement will be displayed. Read it and select I accept the terms in the license agreement if you agree with the terms. When the Installing Folders page is displayed, specify where you want to install the software. You will be prompted to specify a different path for your index and data files later, during the Initial Setup.
Once the installation is completed, the Administration Tool will automatically be loaded into your default web browser.
3. Validate the Installation
Note: The Administration Tool can be accessed at all times by using the shortcut in the Windows Start menu (All Programs > Coveo Expresso > Administration Tool).
The first time it is accessed, the Administration Tool performs a number of verifications to make sure Coveo Expresso is fully functional. If an issue is detected, the Health Test page is loaded, displaying a list of issues (the most common one being the requirement to enter proxy information to access the Internet) as well as instructions on to address them. For more information consult the Health Test section.
Once all the validations are successful, the Initial Setup page is automatically loaded in the browser.
