Introduction

Coveo Enterprise Search is a Web-based application. This means that the interfaces (Administration Tool and Search Interface) can only run on a Web server. Therefore, you need to install the Internet Information Services (IIS) Web Server.

What Is IIS?

IIS is Microsoft's Web server application. It is provided with Microsoft Windows, is free to use and allows your computer to act as a Web server to host the Coveo Enterprise Search interfaces.

Installing IIS

If you are unfamiliar with Internet Information Services Web Server (configuration or installation), contact your system administrator prior to proceeding with the installation of Coveo Enterprise Search.
