How to - Add Coveo to Firefox Search Bar
Out-of-the-box Coveo features a search bar, but for Internet Explorer only. You can implement your own search bar for Firefox and use it to launch a search in Coveo.
This manual procedure is to be applied on each client computer, not on Coveo server.
1. Extract coveo-Firefox Search.zip to Firefox’s subfolder searchplugins (default location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins).
2. Edit coveo.src in Notepad.
3. Modify action to hold address of your Coveo search page. Depending on your setup, this could be:
a. http://yourserver/default.aspx
b. http://yourserver/ces4/default.aspx
c. http://yourSPS/_layouts/Coveo/SharePoint/PortalSearch.aspx
d. http://yourWSS/_layouts/Coveo/SharePoint/SiteSearch.aspx
1. Restart Firefox.
2. Coveo should now be added in the Search Engine list of Firefox’s Search Bar.
